ZumbAaAAa!

This week I've done so much zumba-ing! I had my normal weekly Monday and Thursday classes, which were great because our trainer is back and healthy! We did lots of different dances and had a lot of fun!
On Saturday evening we had "Zumba-night", which meant that there were about 100 people all gathered in one room dancing zumba together. It was really great, because there were many different trainers showing us dances and they all had slightly different styles. Zumba is so diverse that every trainer has their own style. I got even more confirmation that my zumba trainer is the coolest!!
It was really nice to try out different styles and see different trainers. I'm glad that I went out and danced a bit on Saturday evening instead of lying on the couch at home!

zumbaLESS week :(

This week my zumba trainer was sicks so we had substitute trainers, and the most disappointing part was that they weren't zumba teachers.
Both on Monday and Thursday we had like dancey/aerobics kind of trainings, which I didn't enjoy even close to as much as I like zumba with my usual trainer. I was glad that I got to move around and didn't spend the time sitting at home, but it's still always such a disappointment when my trainer isn't there for some reason.
I did have some time to think about why I enjoy zumba so much and why I find these kinds of trainings boring..I think it's because in zumba we go through many many dances, but in aerobics it's always the same routine.

Mock exams

Well this week wasn't the most CAS-filled considering the fact that I had the worst of my three mock exam weeks. I had so much to do.
Anyways, I did make it to both of my zumba classes to try and at least relieve some stress.
On Thursday the trainer was sick, but she showed up anyways because she couldn't find anyone to replace her (crazy zumba trainer - she always does this). However, she did change up the lesson and for the first half we did "isolation". I'm not actually sure what it's called in English, but it's about learning to move different parts of your body separately. It was good, because we use all of these moves in the different zumba dances.
Yay!

Zumbaa!!

My absolute favorite zumba song at the moment:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXDiZRCofqY&spfreload=10

I love the song and the dance is just soo great!! I keep listening to this song even when I'm not in zumba and I almost have the dance memorized. I really like that the trainer uses songs that also play on the radio, because then I can have spontaneous dance parties.

This week I went to both zumbas and body balance. I could actually feel how much more tiring having three trainings a week is. Maybe it is also because body balance is a lot more physically tiring and Thursday's zumba this week was quite intense. It was a good week!

Body Balance AND Baking

I feel like this week has been very very successful!

I went to zumba on Monday like I usually do. We are learning new dances to new songs, which keeps the trainings interesting and fun. I don't get bored or have enough time to get used to all the dances because new ones are introduced and they are more challenging!

On Wednesday I went to bodybalance, which I've been wanting to try for a really long time, but only got the chance to this week. I really enjoyed the lesson as it was physically challenging, and not too slow or boring like I thought it might be. I think I'm gonna make this a regular thing too, which is really great because then I can go to the gym three days a week!

This weekend I've done way more baking than I've had a chance to do for a while now. It's been so great!! I had two "orders" for this Sunday and one of them goes under my CAS. The cake is for my school's debate team. I had to make two cakes, because there are so many people who will be eating them. I really enjoy baking, because practising makes me more confident.

Latin America

This week I went to zumba on Monday and it was really good, but then I got sick and didn't get to do any sport for the rest of the week. Luckily, I'm feeling much better, so hopefully next week I can even try a new class, which I still haven't been able to do.

We also had Latin America this week at school. I was invited to be one of the "guests" for the activities for the students. I came with my mom and we talked about Guatemala. I think it went pretty well. We also had "dress-up" day on Friday and I got to wear Guatemalan national clothes and also jewellery from there.

Zumba and more..

This week I got back into my routine - 2 zumba classes a week. They were actually easier than I expected them to be, considering that I hadn't done any exercise during the holidays.
During Thursday's class we did some salsa dances and the trainer took some time to go through basic salsa moves with us so the dance would be easier for us. I need a whole lot more practice until I can actually enjoy the dance, but it was still cool. I really enjoy zumba precisely because we do so many different styles of dance.

Next week and actually for the rest of this year I want to start trying some more group trainings. I'm thinking about trying yogafunc and spinning.
